As a federally-registered establishment, we have a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) management system, which means we perform risk analysis and ensure we control critical points. This management system is used to monitor three types of food safety hazards: biological, chemical and physical hazards.
We’ve also implemented a food safety management system (GFSI) in our facility. This is a globally recognized standard for food quality assurance. In 2012, our plant was certified SQF Level 2 by the Safe Quality Food Institute.
Besides these two high-standard management systems that serve as a testament to the quality of our products around the world, our company is also a member of Aliments du Québec, and we work in collaboration with Le Porc du Québec and Le Dindon du Québec, two recognized producer federations.
Our cutting-edge, fully computerized traceability system allows us to respond immediately in the event of a product recall. From the moment we receive raw materials at the plant until the finished products are delivered to retailers, we can trace back the supply chain and locate each product at any stage of the process through a bar code and package marking system.
